1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information unless you explicitly enable certain features:

• Camera & Microphone: Used only to capture photos and videos within the app. Media is processed locally on your device.
• Location Data: Only collected if you manually enable the GPS Location setting in VILM. When enabled, GPS coordinates are embedded into your photo and video metadata locally. We do not transmit this data to any server.
• Photos Library: Used only to save your creations to your device or import existing photos. We do not access your gallery for any other purpose.
• Anonymous Installation Identifier: VILM generates a random, anonymous identifier when the app is first launched. This identifier is stored securely on your device (in the Keychain) and embedded into the metadata of videos you export. It is not tied to your name, email, Apple ID, phone number, or device serial number. We do not upload this identifier unless a video is explicitly reported to us for abuse, illegal content, or a violation of our Terms of Use.
• Optional Email: You may optionally provide an email address in the app's Settings. This is entirely voluntary. If provided, it is stored securely on your device (in the Keychain) and associated with your installation identifier. We do not upload or share this email unless you explicitly contact us or a video is reported to us for abuse. We only use it to respond to support requests or to contact you in the event of a legal issue related to content you have created.

2. Photos and Videos

All photos and videos captured with VILM are stored locally on your device and/or in your Photos library based on your settings. We do not upload, access, or share your media. Your creations belong entirely to you.

Exported videos contain a small metadata tag (com.vilm.installationID) with an anonymous installation identifier. This tag exists solely to help us investigate credible reports of abuse or illegal content. It does not reveal your identity, and it is only meaningful to VILM if the video file is voluntarily shared with us as part of a report.

3. On-Device Processing and Machine Learning

VILM uses on-device technologies, including Metal shaders, Core Image, Vision, and machine learning frameworks, to apply visual effects to your photos and videos in real time. All processing happens locally on your device.

Some effects may use on-device face detection, scene analysis, or other computer-vision features to enhance filters or overlays. We do not upload your facial geometry, biometric data, or any image or video content to external servers. No face data or visual content is collected, stored, or shared by us.

4. In-App Purchases

VILM Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not store your payment information. All billing and transaction data is handled securely by Apple. For more information, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not monitor your behavior within the app. Your usage of VILM is private.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Period.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no data retention policy beyond what is stored locally on your device. You can delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

VILM is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since VILM stores minimal data locally, you can exercise these rights by adjusting your app settings or deleting the app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
